The brewers of Brouwerij Bliksem from Breda love heavy beers. They themselves think their heavier beers are also the best in their lineup. Hemelvuur, GROM, Black Sabbath and The Ritual. And of course the barrel aged and infused versions of those hits. Lightning has been brewing rock 'n roll since 2014. In Breda. From 2019 to September 2023, they also shared BRACK with Ramses Bier, to let people enjoy beer on location and the atmosphere as befits the brewery: raw. Lightning loves beers music. So with each beer comes some music pairing. Just because...you know.
Breda-based brewery Bliksem has been brewing specialty beer with a nod to metal music since 2014. Brewing rock 'n roll. Merijn and Sebastiaan have a penchant for heavier beers. GROM, the imperial stout, comes out every year in barrel-aged versions in the Anthology Series. In that series, Bliksem also regularly releases a barrel aged Hemelvuur (triple) or The Ritual (barley wine). Each beer from Lightning gets its own music pairing. A metal song to help you really experience the beer.
From 2019 through August 2023, Brewery Lightning, together with Ramses Beer, operated BRACK. A catering establishment in Breda in an old factory hall. Raw as Bliksem itself. Bliksem also regularly won awards in recent years. For example, Black Sabbath, the quadrupel, was voted the tastiest beer of Brabant in 2018.
